Project details

What we need
  • Easily accessible fast facts about your Organization or one of your program(s)
  • A consolidated list of frequently asked questions and answers
  • A combination of the facts and FAQs, totaling no more than 2 pages
  • Note: This project is for copy only - for graphic design support, please use the Branded Digital Assets and/or Infographic project
Additional details

We have submitted 3 proposals totaling over 9.8M to the Governor for funding. He has accepted our proposals and have moved them forward to the legislature for approval. We need to do extensive outreach to the legislators across the state about our organization. It is important to properly articulate who we are, how we got started, what we do and the impact that we have in the State.

What we have in place
  • We currently have background information and key services that we provide, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have brochures, fact sheets, previous annual reports, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to do the necessary outreach across the state to create more awareness of services available for our vulnerable populations.

This project will help us articulate the importance of our organization to the legislators. There are many who do not know about us and others who need to understand the importance of our organization to fully understand the proposals submitted. Gaining the understanding and support of legislators will help improve the chances of them approving the budget requests. It will also be a great document to provide to potential funders.

Our mission

Wyoming 2-1-1 will provide comprehensive information and referrals regarding Wyoming health and human services and will be available to assist Wyoming communities with disaster preparedness and response.

What we do

Wyoming 2-1-1 is a nonprofit which helps residents navigate over 2,500 programs providing essential services--from finding food and shelter to securing adequate care for a child or an aging parent. We're a small nonprofit, funded mainly through grants and donations, with an enormous reach and an enormous heart. Now more than ever, people in Wyoming need help. Our call volume increased 86% last year, and the number of referrals rose 152%. From January 2020 through December 2020, Wyoming 2-1-1 handled 6,399 calls and provided 14,626 referrals statewide.

Launched in 2011, Wyoming 2-1-1 is the only comprehensive statewide provider of information and referral for Wyomingites, working with over 880 agencies and nonprofits. Our mission is to provide comprehensive information and referrals regarding Wyoming health and human services and to assist Wyoming communities with disaster preparedness and response.

We help individuals in need.
Faced with multiple organizations providing a broad range of social services, people often don't know where to turn or how to start. In many cases, they end up going without these necessary services. That's where Wyoming 2-1-1 comes in. By dialing 2-1-1 or visiting the website, people receive personalized information from a live community resource specialist. We listen to each individual, making sure to match them to services they are eligible for before referring them. Individuals can reach Wyoming 2-1-1 by dialing 2-1-1 on their cell phone or landline, they can text their zip code to 898-211 to reach a live community resource specialist or they can navigate the website database at www.wyoming211.org 24/7.

We can provide communities with a resource picture.
Through call tracking and follow-up, Wyoming 2-1-1 can collect and disseminate social needs data to community leaders. This data is unique to the 211 system and acts as a social barometer, providing a community picture of emerging needs and gaps in services. This data can support collaboration on community goals, inform government decision-making, help to identify where to invest resources, and assist community partners as they advocate for people in need.
