What we'd like to talk about
We'd like some help with exploring options and understanding the process for upgrading our website from squarespace to something that can host dynamic content and allows for batch editing.
Additional context
We currently host films as blog posts, but I would prefer a more robust system for cataloguing 50 - 200 films per year. We need to be able to update details on individual film pages, i.e. award status, link to purchase tickets, etc. We have static pages and pages that change year after year, so perhaps a mini-website per festival year would work better. I believe wordpress would suit our needs, but we're not sure where to start. Questions we have are: What can we expect in terms of budget and timeline for a project like this? What are best practices / suggestions for organizing our website given year-round vs seasonal programs? Where is the best place to look for developers if wordpress is the answer? Is there a version of wordpress (or another platform) that our team could handle internally (a lighter lift in terms of development / customization)? Thank you for your insight!
