What we need
  • Ongoing graphic design support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
  • Support may include: logo design, flyer design, branded assets for social media
  • Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.

Hello. We are looking for assistance with the design of a newsletter (viewable electronically & printable as well) consisting of about 37 articles and accompanying photos. The articles have already been written and we have the images. This will be the organization's first newsletter since the hurricanes in 2017 and will serve to build awareness of sustainability initiatives and educate the public about how they can make a difference. Thank you!

What we have in place
  • We currently have completed articles and accompanying images, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an example of past newsletter, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to put additional funds toward our green programs such as recycling, composting and sustainable food security as well as education on the importance of "Rethink, Reduce, ReUse, Recyle."

The newsletter is important because it will educate readers about the efforts Island Green has undertaken to expand sustainability in the US Virgin Islands and how they themselves can make a difference. Additionally, an esteemed group of guest writers provide further insight on important environmental and conservational issues. It is our first newsletter since the storms in late 2017 devastated the islands and we hope to use it to encourage donations and volunteering as well.

Step 1: Ongoing Support
  • Volunteer delivers ongoing support according to determined outline
  • Weekly check-ins to ensure support is being offered as agreed upon by both parties

Step 2: Training & Offboarding
  • Volunteer provides any relevant training to the Volunteer Manager to help them continue work, as necessary, after 4 weeks
