What did Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) need?

Julie helped Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) assess the current state of their social media pages and gain actionable recommendations on how to improve presence and engagement.

Why is this project important?

We want to maximize our use of social media, along with increase our presence and reach. The first step is to evaluate where we are currently and where/how we can grow and improve.

This project will save us $1,792, allowing us to enhance our social media efforts without a designated budget.

I often joke around that I've developed marketing communications for brands you'd find in grocery store or online as well as the technology that people consume every day. I love what I "do" and joined Catch A Fire to help non-profits who have the same energy in what they "do".

The doing includes 15 years of PR, social media and content strategy, planning and management. The goals have always been to craft a narrative that is based on a (true) story; one that is interesting enough that media and people will want to talk about, share and/or advocate.

About Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI)

CFVI was created to serve both donors and nonprofit organizations of the Virgin Islands that want to ensure the highest quality of life for both present and future generations. Its primary goal is to build a growing collection of permanent funds, from which the income is disbursed to institutions and programs whose purpose is to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the islands' people. CFVI's grant-making from unrestricted sources focuses on innovative programs and projects that show promise of developing into longer-term responses to the needs of children, youth and families in the Virgin Islands.
